Juan Diego Calle

Mr. Calle is the founder and CEO of STRAAT and head of technology investments. He serves on several boards within the company's portfolio and is Chairman of STRAAT's internal investment committee. Prior to managing STRAAT, Juan co-founded TeRespondo.com, Inc., the largest online search advertising network in Latin American. The company operated in USA, Brazil, Mexico and Argentina, and was acquired by Yahoo! Inc. in 2005. Juan is an alumnus of the Harvard Business School, OPM program.

Jose Ignacio Rasco

Mr. Rasco is the CFO of STRAAT and head of the company's real estate investments. He is responsible for companywide accounting and financial reporting as well as all underwriting, asset management and investment in real estate assets. Mr. Rasco also serves on the company's internal investment committee. Prior to joining STRAAT, Jose Ignacio was an Audit Supervisor at Morrison Brown Argiz & Farra CPAs, the largest independent public accounting firm in Florida. His main practice areas included the audits and operations of medium-sized, and family owned and operated businesses. Jose Ignacio has a B.S. in Economics with concentrations in Accounting & Real Estate from the Wharton School of Business and has a Master's degree in Taxation from Florida International University.

Carlos Freitas

Mr. Freitas is STRAAT's VP of Internet Operations. Carlos is responsible for managing the company's internet investments, including Federated Travel, a network of travel websites such as ParisHotels.com, NewYorkHotels.com, and LondonHotels.com. Prior to joining STRAAT, Mr. Freitas worked at Yahoo!, where he coordinated the launch of Yahoo! Search Marketing in Brazil, Argentina, Mexico and India. Before Yahoo!, Mr. Freitas was Product Director at TeRespondo.com, the pioneer in search advertising in Latin America. Carlos holds a MSC in Computer Science from Dalhousie University in Canada.

Thomas Lackner

Mr. Lackner is the CTO of STRAAT and is responsible for all technical aspects of STRAAT's internet investments. Tom oversees the company's developers and designers in Brazil, India and throughout Europe. Prior to this current role, he launched award winning Destructoid, one of the largest videogame and technology blogs online. Previously, Mr. Lackner founded ModernMethod (later acquired by WorldMedia), where his work included building best-of-breed websites and marketing solutions for Charles Schwab, uBid, HSBC, Air Canada, WebMD, Alienware, Aloha Airlines, Sol Melia Hotels, TigerDirect, Club MED, and Starwood.

Joice Boetius

Ms. Boetius is the Human Resources Director of STRAAT Investments. Prior to her position with STRAAT, she worked in the Human Resources and Training department at Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu (São Paulo, Brazil).
